We absolutely can’t wait for the release of Oz the Great and Powerful; Disney’s prequel to the classic Wizard of Oz (practically one of the only movies that hasn’t had several sequels and prequels over the years). The film is directed by Sam Raimi, known for the Evil Dead series as well as the Spiderman trilogy, so we wonder what his vision for Oz will be! If the trailer is any indication then it’s going to be awesome.
With an estimated $200 million budget and a cast of A-list actors including James Franco, Mila Kunis and Michelle Williams we’re glad to see that the studio is giving this prequel the treatment it deserves. Probably the most exciting part about the new Oz movie? How much technology has developed since the release of the original Wizard of Oz in 1939! Holy smokies!
